WAVELENGTH - A Workshop in clear communication:
Wavelength - The Effective Communication Workshop is designed to satisfy four main objectives. First, through facilitator - led discussions, participants gain an increased awareness regarding the complexity and importance of listening. We want them to recognize that most people, themselves included, are not very effective listeners. This is likely to contradict their pre - work beliefs. Our second objective is to provide a detailed understanding of the distinct skills involved in effective Communication.
Large and small group discussions will result in the participants identifying effective behaviors, the appropriate situations in which to demonstrate these behaviors and the expected benefits of these behaviors. Thirdly, we believe it is necessary for the participants to receive feedback on their current strengths and areas for improvement as good listeners and effective communicators. As a result of this feedback, participants will be able to direct their efforts on key areas and demonstrate noticeable improvements in a reasonable time period.
This is done through a structured action plan that all participants put together at the end of the workshop, which is reviewed one month later with the facilitator.
